Pamela's Story

Pamela's story is my personal journey through hip and knee replacement surgery.

A little about me
I'm 53 years old (its 2010!) and live in London. I'm single with no children. I work for the NHS (that's the National Health Service) as a Mental Health Law Manager - which means I make sure that the psychiatric trust I work for complies with the law relating to mental health. I very much enjoy my job.

Outside of work I like to socialise, play bridge, try and play poker (I've not really got the temprement for it though) and write this website.

Hip Replacement and Recovery came about due to the sheer frustration I epxerienced trying to find information about hip replacements. I spent so long trawling the internet to find little nuggets of advice and kept wishing that someone simply wrote a dedicated site. Yes there were sites out there that sounded like they were the thing but they barely touched the subject.

So I decided to do it myself.

At this time I've no idea what my next step will be in terms of surgery the only thing I do know is that there will be quite a few more steps to go before I have a matching set of functioning joints!
