Recovery time

The answer will partly depend on the type of procedure you have had. With minimally invasive surgery being the quickest to recover from and needing the least rehab. Talking in general terms it will take about 3- 4 months to reach your full level of mobility. This may not be the same level as you had before your health problems started.

What slows recovery?
Poor quality implants
Poorly performed operation
Implants that haven't been fixed properly (this may need revision work)
local infections
Heavy weight lifting or weight bearing too soon after surgery (I think I did this a bit)
Failure to follow rehab exercise program (this is so important)
Failure to take medicines prescribed by doctor which may include antibiotics, anti inflammatory drugs, calcium with vitamin D.

Good luck with your recovery
